Anthony Worthen Obituary
Anthony H. "Tony" Worthen, age 49, of Atwater, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2015 following a long battle with brain cancer.
Born July 10, 1965 in Union Point, Ga, he was the son of Howell A. and Juanita "Nita" (Moon) Worthen-Meadows. Formerly of Douglasville, Ga., Tony moved to Ohio in 2008.
He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Ravenna where he enjoyed the "guy's" monthly poker games; he worked for G.E. Lighting in Ravenna until his retirement in 2014; he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved to golf.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Toni; children Cliff and Megan; mother Nita Meadows; a sister Yalonde Tanner, many nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Howell Worthen.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Tony's life will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2:00PM at the Grace Episcopal Church, 250 W. Cedar Ave., Ravenna, Ohio 44266 with Rev. Carol Evans officiating; friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the Priest Discretionary Fund in care of Grace Episcopal Church.
