Edward Zuendel Obituary

Edward A. Zuendel, age 89, of Silver Lake passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014.

Born February 17, 1925 in Akron, he was the son of William G. and Caroline J. (McMullen) Zuendel.

Edward served during WWII with the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Peiffer, he was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a graduate of the Squad at Goodyear. He was involved in the nursery and landscaping business for most of his adult life; he was a former partner of the MRZ Nursery in Streetsboro.

He spent many wonderful years wintering in Florida. He loved fishing, golfing, swimming, and doing anything physical; he was very accomplished at anything he attempted. He loved the Oregon coast and spent numerous vacations there over the years.

Edward is survived by his wife Joanne; brother, Tom (Kathy) of Hollywood, FL.; niece Kathy (Tom) Coops of Boise, ID.; numerous great nieces and nephews, and cousins including a close cousin Ruth Lee.

Services will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 11:00am at the United Presbyterian Church, 2819 Hudson Dr., Cuyahoga Falls, friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorials may be made to the church in Ed's memory.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Gardens of the Western Reserve for the care they provided to Ed.
