Elsie M Gilles

Elsie M. Gilles (nee Emery), 87, born on April 11, 1929, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016.
Growing up in Copley, OH, Elsie, one of 16 children, later moved to Fairlawn, OH where she was known as a realtor and for her involvement with the City of Fairlawn, and St Hilary Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brothers, and her husband, Charles W. Gilles; Elsie is survived by her daughter, Elyce Harris; sisters, Dolly Laukhuf , Mary Pyles and Grace Emery; brother, Don Emery; many nieces and nephews; other family members including, Tom Semonin, Mary Emery , Sandy Rilling, Terry DeLapa and Jonathan, Jean, Jim, Andrea and Frank Charuk, Mary, Josh and Rebekah Heinrich, Jennifer, Jeremy, Ella and Evan Kowalczyk, and her very special friends Dave and Lois Weis.

The family extends their gratitude to the kind caregivers of the Village of St. Edward and Harbor Light Hospice.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. WEDNESDAY at St. Hilary Catholic Church. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., from 5 to 7 p.m. TUESDAY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Hilary Church, 2750 W. Market St., Fairlawn, OH 44333. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
