Joseph S. Bosko, 76, died August 14, 2016.
Born in Ravenna December 31, 1939 to Agnes Grega and Joseph S. Bosko Sr., he has lived in New Milford, Rootstown Cuyahoga Falls and Fairlawn. A U.S. Air Force Veteran, he retired from the Akron Police Department with 33 years service.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dan and sister, Marie; he is survived by his wife, Mary P. Bosko; daughter, Wendy (Bobby) Knepper; son, Joseph (Marie) Bosko, grandchildren, Kelsey (Keith) Turner, Austin Tiller, Ashley Bosko, Samantha and Kristina Saucier, David Knepper; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Bosko; sister, Andrea Palazzo; many nieces and nephews; beloved dog, Max.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Guest Room in The Enclave Condominiums, 3800 Rosemont Blvd. Private inurnment has taken place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4500 Rockside Rd., Independence, OH 44131. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
