Violinist Ping Qin Yu, age 51, passed away on March 28, 2012 at the Summa Western Reserve Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a long time battle with cancer.
She was a member of Akron and Canton Symphony Orchestra, the Akron Chinese Christian Church and a successful violin teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Jin Yu; daughter, Ann Yu; her father, Yong-Cheng Qin; mother, Ping-Qiu Yue; brother, Ji Kai Qin; sister-in-law, Hai-Jun Wang and niece, Cindy.
A memorial service will be held in the Memorial Chapel at The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, Ohio at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2012.
