Robert F. McCloskey, 87, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014.
Bob was born June 30, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of William John McCloskey, Sr. and Celestine DeMoss McCloskey. He was raised in Akron, graduated from West High School, and served in the US Army during WWII. Bob along with his wife Pauline moved to Copley in 1960. He was employed by Akron Standard Mold and retired after 32 years of service.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. His wife, the former Pauline Gaug, died August 16, 2007. He leaves daughter, Denise McCloskey and grandson, Tim Howald. Bob was preceded in death by brother, William J. McCloskey, Jr. and sisters, Margie Stadelman and Kitty Glidden.
