Thomas A. "Tom" Godard

Thomas A. Godard, 54, died March 29, 2014 at his home in Medina, Ohio.
He was born July 25, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Fred M. Godard and Betty (Dancey) Godard. He spent his early years in Bath, Ohio, a graduate of Revere High School.
Thomas loved Halloween so much that he became an entrepreneur in creating fun and spooky places for young people. For many years, The Haunted Hill Farm in Copley provided ghosts, goblins, cider, and doughnuts for kids to enjoy. He also raised huge pumpkins for Halloweeners to carve into jack-o-lanterns. Thomas left Ohio to build a Haunted Mansion in Florida. It included a museum of Halloween antiques dating back to the early 1900's. There were animated figures to scare those who walked through the actual mansion.
In his later years, Thomas moved back to Bath and then to Medina.
Thomas leaves his long time significant other, Linda Turkovich; his mother, Betty; his brother, Tim (Kathy); his sister, Susan (David) Dudas; his nieces, Kristi Godard (Chris Pompos), Lilia Dudas, Danielle Dudas; his nephew, Michael; his four Godard cousins and his Aunt Elizabeth. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Fred and his grandparents. Tom's dog, Topper, will meet him at the 'Rainbow Bridge'.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Zwingli United Church of Christ - 2172 S Medina Line Rd, Wadsworth, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Mt. Zwingli's Youth Fund or Medina County SPCA. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
