Ann E. Starkey

Ann E. Starkey, age 91, of Ashland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

She was born February 28, 1933, in Akron, to Rudolph and Mary Stobbe. Ann worked as a Senior Research Lab Technician for B.F. Goodrich for 30 years. Once retired, she worked for American Analytical. She was a volunteer Firefighter and EMT for Sharon Center Fire Department. Ann liked to travel with her husband, Paul, and one of their favorite past times was ballroom dancing. She was an avid golfer and loved to sew. She made and donated fleece beret hats to Akron Children's Hospital for cancer victims. Ann was a life-time member of High Street Christian Church. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and all who knew her. 

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, brother, George Stobbe; sister, Betty (Blair) Miller; her husband, Paul R. Starkey; and Paul's son, Robert Starkey.

She is survived by her children, Gene (Ramon Amon) SirLouis, Elizabeth SirLouis, David (Martina) SirLouis, and son-in-law, John Paisley; Paul's daughter, Patricia (Walton) Silver; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Starkey; grandchildren, Tiffani (Keith) Landis, Robert (Hayley) Paisley, Staff Sergeant Richard Denny (Ashlee) Paisley, Kimberly Paisley, Bethany Paisley, Emily SirLouis, Katie SirLouis, Ian (Kodi) SirLouis, Jeffrey (Kelly) Starkey, Jennifer (Adam) Clark, Jason (Carrie) Silver, Robert Silver, and Kristen Silver-Moore; many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Service will take place Saturday, May 11th, at 11:00 at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Fairlawn, OH 44333. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00. Interment will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
