Lee John Kleinbeck, III Obituary

Lee John “Buzz” Kleinbeck, III peacefully passed away at home on November 29, 2022, with his beloved wife Jeanne by his side. Buzz was born in Akron on February 5, 1945, to Lee and Ruth Kleinbeck, Jr. He graduated from Revere High School in 1963 and proceeded to obtain an associate degree in mechanical drafting from Stark Technical College. Buzz then began a lifelong career as a draftsman working at Stafford Giffels and Bergstrom, now GBC Design, Inc. In 1966, he met, and fell in love with, Jeanne Robert. They married in 1968 and moved to Copley Township where they were active community members and raised two children, Kevin and John.

In his spare time, you would find Buzz in his workshop, surrounded by friends and family, where he would spend hours on woodworking projects. For multiple years, Buzz proudly served as a little league baseball coach, for both of his sons, in the Copley Athletic Association. He enjoyed spending Sundays with his friends watching NASCAR races and other sports. Buzz was an avid nature enthusiast and loved the outdoors and spending time going on nature walks with Jeanne. He found great joy in feeding and watching the local birds and squirrels. Buzz had been a proud member of the Copley Township Zoning Appeals Board, where he served his community for five years.

Buzz was a devoted husband, father, brother, family member and friend to everyone he knew. He was preceded in death by his brother Greg, parents Lee Jr and Ruth, and his son Kevin. Buzz leaves behind Jeanne, his loving wife of 54 years, son and daughter in-law John and Carla, sister and brother in-law JoAnne and Paul, brother Gerry and so many other wonderful family members and friends.

The family would like to thank all the amazing members of Summa Health Palliative Care for their excellent care and compassion for Buzz. Buzz’s remains will be buried during a private memorial for close family and friends at Bath Center Cemetery. Donations may be made in Buzz’s honor to the American Cancer Society or to Summa Health Palliative Care.
