Kathryn I. Miller

Kathryn I. Miller passed away peacefully August 31, 2019 at Maplewood Senior Care Center. She was born in Calais, Ohio, July 7, 1925, and at the age of 17 she moved to Akron, Ohio. She became part of the war effort, helping to construct planes at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. She enjoyed her card clubs, bowling, and board games.

After meeting her lifetime love, Karl Miller, they married and moved to Cuyahoga Falls, where she spent the next seventy years.  Karl preceded her in death in 1993. She is survived by her son, Gregory Miller and wife, Deborah Miller (Jackson); her daughter, Cheryl Dogan (Miller) and husband, Jim Dogan. She leaves five grandchildren, Dr Jacqualin Miller, Candice Miller,

Valerie Miller, Christian Miller, and Shelby Dogan. She also leaves behind two sisters, Eva Pearl Kennon and Peggy Jo McLaughlin.

We would like to give special thanks to the staff at Maplewood and Harbor Light Hospice for their gentle care and support.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Susan Tiffany officiating.
