Diamone Kay Powers

Diamone Kay Powers, age 63, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014.

Born March 12, 1951 in Akron, she was the daughter of George M. and Donna Pappas. Diamone was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church where she was a member of the choir as well as the Philoptochos Society.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Patrick B. "Barney" Powers; sons: Patrick M. (Christina) and Stephen B. Powers; grand-daughter Alanna; mother Donna Pappas; brother Michael (Evangeline) Pappas; nieces: Katherine E. and Margarite G. Pappas.

She was preceded in death by her father George M. Pappas.

Diamone was a lover of music, art, dance and languages, but most of all, her family. She lived a life full of grace and kindness with the best interest of others in mind. Her strength and faith is an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

Friends will be received at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., on Sunday from 3-6 P.M. where a Trisagion service will take place at 5 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., Akron, Ohio 44304. Burial will take place at Mt. Peace Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund.
