Allan Harold Warner, age 88, of Medina, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2026.

He was born February 9, 1938, in Cleveland, OH to the late Harold and Margaretha (nee Anthony) Warner. His family eventually moved to a farm in Granger Township in 1946 where he earned the nickname “Digger Gopher” for being the best ditch digger on the farm.

During his high school years, Allan had a multitude of interests including his shop class and playing the clarinet and bass clarinet with the Highland high school band. Towards the end of his high school years, he worked for Gowe Printing Company and loved to work with his dad on shop projects.

He attended the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in New York with his friend, Bob Schafer, where he majored in Printing. While in New York, he met and fell in love with his wife, Sally Neva, in Webster, New York, while she was a nursing student at the University of Rochester. Allan and Sally got married in Cleveland, OH in 1959 and moved around to Medina and Broadview Heights.

During his career, Allan worked for numerous companies such as White Motor Company in Cleveland, John Deere in Broadview Heights, Ford Tractor Dealer in Sidney and various construction projects with Fred Denk and building custom homes in Medina County.

In his most recent years, his passions included building wood frames for old cars and restoring old cars from his home, his favorite being Cadillacs. Allan owned his favorite 1931 V12 Cadillac, which he took to various car shows and won awards. When he wasn’t working on his cars, Allan, Sally and their friend Charlotte would attend many venues to hear their favorite Polka bands and enjoy many cruises in the Caribbean.

Allan was preceded in death by his father and mother, Harold Patterson Warner and Margaretha Anthony Warner; his beloved wife, Sally; his daughter and Mary Warner Cupp (Terry).

He is survived by son Henry Warner (Christina); grandchildren Mackenzie Warner Preda (Josh), Andrew Warner (Hannah), Danny Strunk (Kayla), Alyssa Strunk (Sam), Austin Strunk; great grandchildren Elliot Preda; Siblings Howard P Warner (Judy), William “Bill” Warner (Nancy), John Warner (Sarah); special friend Charlotte and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 A.M. SATURDAY, June 13th, 2026 the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Road Fairlawn, OH 44333. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. The service will be officiated by Rev. Gary Smith.
