Ann-Marie Young
Ann-Marie Young, 51, passed away on July 31st after suffering a massive heart attack. She is now singing with the angels.
Residing in North Ridgeville, OH, she worked as a special education school teacher at Bay Village middle school. These are a few of her favorite things: beaches, family, teaching, traveling, reading, gardening, music and singing, celebrating the success of all the kids she helped through teaching and at her church. She has an unselfish heart that enabled her to love everybody.
She was born in Akron, OH on December 10, 1963. She graduated from Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. She earned her Bachelors of Education from Wittenburg University and was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She earned her Masters of Deaf Education from Kent State University. She has over 26 years of teaching experience. As a young adult, she performed with Up With People for 3 years. She is an active member of Harvest Ridge Church where her love and influence will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her father, Julian McGee. She is survived by Marco, her husband of 22 years; daughter, Brandy (Jason) Woodruff and son, Christopher Young; mother, Ann McGee; siblings Bonnie McGee, Walter (Teresa) McGee, Juli (John) Bryant; numerous other family members, nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 3rd, at Harvest Ridge Church in North Ridgeville, OH, 35600 Lorain Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ann-Marie's honor to the Children's Ministries at Harvest Ridge Church or the Salvation Army. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 330-867-4141)
