Antonia (Vossou) Pappas, 80, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, after a short illness, at Hospice at Akron City Hospital.

Antonia was born on July 23, 1934 to Petros and Tasia (Papadatou) Vossos in Zakynthos, Greece. She married Charles Pappas in August 15, 1958 and moved to the United States in the Winter of the same year. They set up home in New Jersey where they lived until 2005 when they moved to Fairlawn, Ohio. Antonia worked in retail until she retired from Lord and Taylor after many years of loyal service.

In addition to her parents, Antonia was preceded in death by her sisters, Maria Xenou, and Dionisia Touriki; and is survived by her husband, Charles; brother, Nikos Vossos of Zakynthos, Greece; cousins, Spiros and Anna Yatras; nieces, Alexia Yatras, Angela (Aaron) Torson; nephew, John (Lydia) Yatras; and great-nieces, Zoe, Maria, and great-nephew Spiros.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. FRIDAY at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union Street, Akron, OH 44304 with Rev. Father Jerry F. Hall officiating. Burial at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on THURSDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., where Trisagion service will be held at 5 p.m. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
