April Lee Richards

April Lee Richards, age 71, passed away on June 13th, 2025 at her residence. April was a lifelong resident of Akron, OH. She worked as a home health aide in Akron until she retired. She loved karaoke, animals, and the beach. April was blessed with a large and loving family.

She is survived by her children, Aimee Donohue and Sean Donohue; her sisters and brothers, Candi McConnell (Bob), Linda Weitzel, Terry Richards (Lisa), and Chris Richards (Kristie); nieces and nephews, Nikki Moshier(Jeff), Jenny Smith (Eric), Brian Weitzel (Bridget), Brad Weitzel (Katie), Emily Richards, Tony Richards (Lena), Olivia and Makaela Richards. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Richards and Betty Rowe.

A private memorial service to Celebrate April’s life will be held for family and invited guests on Monday June 23rd at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with The Rev. Lisa Richards officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a GoFundMe established to support April’s Family (https://gofund.me/6b346acf) or to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (www.aspca.org)
