Arlene Elizabeth McKinnon

Arlene Elizabeth McKinnon (nee Smith), age 82, of Akron, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

She was born March 5, 1944, in Akron, to Thomas Edison Smith and Sarah Smith (nee Boughton). Arlene loved cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved kitties. Arlene was a very proud longtime member of Copley United Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, Ray Osborne, her beloved husband, Jon Lyle McKinnon, and her two brothers.

Arlene is survived by her two cherished sons, Stephen McKinnon and his wife, Desiree McKinnon (nee Croft), and Michael McKinnon.

Friends may call on WEDNESDAY, August 26, 2026, from 10:00 -11:00 AM at Copley United Methodist Church, 1518 S. Cleveland Massillon Rd. Copley, OH 44321 where memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM.
