Skip was born in Akron, graduated from Kenmore H.S. and attended the University of Akron. He worked as an assembler for Parker Hannifin for 35 years before retiring in 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Charlene. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carole, sister-in-love, Judy (Howard Lawson), brother-in-love, John Harrison (Robynn Losee), niece and nephews, Jason Gellner, Jamie Gellner, Courtney Harrison (Adam Brozik), and John Lloyd Harrison.

Skip enjoyed playing golf, Thoroughbred horse-racing and the occasional poker game. He was a reluctant livestock farmer supporting Tidy, Rocky, Dixie and the chicks, Ruckus, April, Martha and Vandellas.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Old Friends, a Thoroughbred retirement facility, or The International Center for the Preservation of Wild Animals, Inc. commonly known as The Wilds.

Calling Hours will be held SUNDAY, April 27 from 2-4PM at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, OH 44333. Memorial Service Noon MONDAY, April 28 at FAITH Lutheran Church, 2726 W. Market St. Fairlawn, OH 44333. Burial at Union Cemetery in Canal Fulton.
