Craig Cihlar

Born January 23, 1941.

It is with sorrow that the family of Craig Cihlar sadly announces his passing.

Craig was born in Cleveland, OH and resided in Richfield, OH.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay; and daughter, Laura Cihlar-Tomala (Chris). Craig is lovingly remembered by his sister, Jill Giaimo, (Tony); nephew, Anthony Giaimo, (Kristin); niece, Shelley Gillis, (Doc); sisters- in- law, Claudia Geither,  Michalyn Blasius, (Lawrence), Sybil Chrzan; brothers- in- law, Norbert Maxin,  Carter Maxin and Gregg Maxin; as well as nieces and nephews.

Craig had an exciting career at TV 5 for many years and loved to tell stories of the many behind the scenes happenings in the production of the live shows.  He also was a private pilot, and a volunteer firefighter for the Richfield Fire Department.  Always up for a challenge, Craig honed many skills, among them were deep sea diving, motorcycle riding, snowmobiling, and woodworking.  To honor Craig’s final wishes, there will be no calling hours.  A funeral mass will be private for his family.
