Dale R. Kekelis

Dale R. Kekelis, age 66, of Fairlawn, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 8, 2026.

He was born February 11, 1960, in Cleveland, OH; son of Charles Richard and Laverne (nee Klinar) Kekelis. Dale was a car enthusiast. He loved anything that had to do with cars. He had a massive Hot Wheels Car collection and always enjoyed attending car shows. He was currently working on his retirement project- restoring a 1968 Firebird. He loved dogs and was a social butterfly. Anyone lucky enough to be graced with a conversation with Dale would say he made them feel safe and welcome in his presence. Dale was a proud Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. He will be greatly missed.

Dale is survived by his devoted wife of almost 40 years, Dawn (nee Koontz) Kekelis; cherished daughter, Jessica (Matt) Recker; beloved step grandchildren, Lily and Conner Reed; and adopted little sister, Barb DeHoff.

Calling hours will take place from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on THURSDAY, March 12, 2026, at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, OH 44333. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on FRIDAY, March 13, 2026, at St. Hilary Parish, 2750 W. Market St. Fairlawn, OH 44333. Interment immediately following at All Saints Cemetery, 480 W. Highland Rd. Northfield, OH 44067.
