Diane "Dede" Jeanne Nelson, 66, of Fairlawn, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026. Born in Akron, Ohio, to Donald and Jeanne Nelson, Dede was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt whose warmth and love left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Dede built her career in sales, dedicating nearly four decades to Cell-O-Core and Premium Balloon Accessories, family businesses whose legacy meant so much to her.

Above all else, Dede was known for the boundless love she poured into her family and friends. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, McKenzie Beynon, and the kind of aunt and friend who made you feel like you truly mattered. She loved and adored spending time with her grandnieces and nephews. Dede had a gift for bringing people together, whether it was a hand of euchre with friends, a Swenson’s run, or simply gathering her loved ones around her to share a meal and make memories. She lived by her values and always strived to do the right thing. Those who knew her best will remember her for exactly that, the way she loved, without reservation.

Dede was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne Nelson; her father, Donald Nelson; her sisters, Deborah Nelson and Jill Hoffman; and her nephew, Adam Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, McKenzie (Joey); her siblings, Jeff, David (Susie), Julie (Ray), and Drew; and her former husband, Brad Beynon. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Kristin (Mike), Kyle (Kari), Katey (Michael), Jeff (Kathy), David, Jason (Brigitte), Justin (Olivia), Erin (David), Chase (Anjelica), Evan (Jill), and Alexandria, and many beloved grand nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held in honor of Dede 4-6 P.M. MONDAY April 27th at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., followed by a private service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
