Donald L. Dillahunt, 93, of Copley, passed away on July 24, 2026. He was the son of the late Arthur Linden and Eva (Zinn) Dillahunt. Also preceding him in death were his sister Elna (Dillahunt) Myers and his brother Homer L. Dillahunt. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Barbara (Marot) Dillahunt and two sons, Herbert, of North Ridgeville, Ohio; and Benjamin (Teri,) of Springfield, Ohio, two grandsons, Evan of Fairborn, Ohio and David (Allison) and their daughter Ellis, of Texas.
Don was a great lover of cars and trucks, having owned many during his life. He took great pleasure in buying old mechanically distressed vehicles and rehabilitating them to sell in the front yard. He thoroughly enjoyed the art of the deal, buying and selling. He also owned many red convertibles and customized red pick-up trucks. He was an avid bicycle rider. You could often see him riding on the beach in South Carolina with his wife, and many times tooling the grounds at Concordia at Sumner where he lived these past 7 years. Don retired from the Ohio Edison/First Energy having worked in Springfield, Ohio; Shippingport, Pennsylvania and the Main office in Akron for a total of 41 years.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
