Donna Schoner

Donna Jean (Wells) Schoner, 90, born in Kent and a lifetime resident of the Akron area, passed from this life on May 27, 2013.

Donna was born February 12, 1923 to Gilbert and Edith Mae Wells and was a life long member and volunteer at St John/St. Paul Lutheran Church. She also spent many hours as a volunteer at NEO Synod ELCA and was employed as a Legal Secretary for an Akron Law Firm.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ellis; sister, Doris (Wells) Klotz and brother in law Walter; brother, Gilbert Dale Wells; survived by sister in law, Barbara Wells; sister and brother in law, Wayne and Esther Schoner; several nieces and nephews; special friend and companion, Clay Bostick; and many friends. A thank you to Michelle Fitzpatrick, her caregiver of over a year for her compassionate care of Donna.

Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 5th at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 Miller Rd., Akron with Rev. Richard Gordon officiating. Burial at Mt. Peace Cemetery in Hartville on Thursday, June 6th, at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
