Edward N. Phillips Sr.

Edward Nick Phillips Sr. (April 6, 1936 – May 11, 2025) passed away peacefully at the age of 89. Born in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, Ed was a devoted husband to Mary Ann for 64 years and a loving father and grandfather. He worked at Ford Motor Company in Walton Hills for 42 years, was a member of St. Victor Catholic Church and served honorably in the U.S. Army.

Known for his humor, kindness, and dedication to family, Ed was active in sports throughout his life. He was an enthusiastic Cleveland sports fan, youth coach, and loved fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann; his children, Christine Phillips (Tom Woznicki), Nancy Schoenegge (Kurt), Ed Phillips Jr. (Andi), and Ginger Neely (Jim); his grandchildren, Andrea (Kelly), Justin and Jake Schoenegge, Robyn, Hannah & Erik Neely, Mara, Tyler and Mitchell Phillips, Hunter Woznicki; his great grandchild, Lydia Schoenegge and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Theresa Phillips and his sisters, Mary Coschignano, Theresa Fabula, and Elizabeth Fetko.

Ed leaves behind a legacy of love and inspiring work ethic. He will be deeply missed.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM FRIDAY, May 23 at St. Victor Parish, 3435 Everett Rd. Richfield, OH 44286. The family will receive guests from 10-11AM. Private Inurnment will take place at West Richfield Cemetery.
