He is survived by his wife, Jean; daughters, Kathleen (Donald) Mueller, Christine Welch; Lou Ann (David, deceased) Shellenberger; grandchildren, Nancy, Cory, Cody and Chloe.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, c/o Akron General Foundation, 400 Wabash Ave., Akron, Ohio 44307-2463.
