Elaine D. Borgschulte, beloved wife, devoted mother, and adoring grandmother, passed away peacefully on the morning of July 22, 2025, surrounded by love. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family defined her life and left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.

Born with a heart full of kindness and a spirit that radiated love, Elaine was the heart of the Borgschulte family. Her children and grandchildren were her world, and nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by them. She had a quiet strength and grace that lifted those around her, and she built a home filled with unconditional love, support, and laughter.

Elaine was the cherished wife of the late Donald Joseph Borgschulte, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and family. Together, they raised six children and built a legacy rooted in compassion, generosity, and deep family bonds.

She is survived by her sons, Donald Borgschulte and Michael (Gitte) Borgschulte; and daughters, Kerry (William) Schmidt, Vicki Mejeris, and Donna (Michael) Rahach. Elaine was a loving grandmother to Andrew, Matthew, Ryker and Torben Borgschulte, Cole, Michael and Aidan McKee, Erin Wapelhorst, Allison Schmidt, Emily Conner and Julie Studinski, Taylor Hart, and Colton Rahach; and a proud great-grandmother to Ben Dybas, Bella and Ireland Conner, Wesley and Blakely Wapelhorst, Avery Easterby, Baker, Carter and Theo Borgschulte, and Hazel Hart.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, John Borgschulte; son-in-law, Alfred Mejeris; daughter-in-law, Sandy Borgschulte; and granddaughter, Melissa Dybas, whom she now joins in eternal peace.

Mom (Grandma), your love was the foundation of our lives. You were our guide, our comfort, and our greatest cheerleader. Your legacy of devotion, selflessness, and gentle strength lives on in each of us, and your memory will forever be a blessing.

Rest peacefully, Mom. Your love will forever be with us.

A private family celebration of her beautiful life will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Elaine’s memory to a charity of your choice that supports families, children, or caregivers—reflecting her lifelong devotion to love and nurturing others.
