Eleanor Delores Ciraldo

Eleanor D. Ciraldo, age 94, died May 7, 2025. Born in Akron, she was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of North High School. She attended the University of Akron and the Wilton School of Cake Decorating in Chicago, Illinois. Eleanor worked at Crest Bakery, her father’s business, for more than 30 years and decorated several thousand wedding and special occasion cakes.

Preceded in death by Louis, her loving husband of 66 years; her parents; and her daughter-in-law, Debbie Ciraldo (nee Mitchell). She is survived by sons, Louis (Connie), Al, and Mark (Diti); 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mom lived her life to nurture her three sons’ faith and careers. She was very successful with her boys. Later in her life with Louis, her husband, she enjoyed the exploits and accomplishments of her 11 grandchildren. Always gently, and by example, she taught each one about faith in Jesus Christ and hard work. Her reward was 11 truly amazing careers including School Teacher, Doctor, Physician Assistant, CPA, Marketing Executive, Construction Business Owner, Project Manager, Election Official, Motorcycle Tech and Business Owner, Dental Technician and Charcuterie Business Owner. Most importantly, she guided her grandchildren to bring 17 new children, and the 18th is on the way, into this world filled with love and respect for God and Family. As our Father once said, she was truly the spirit of our Family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. TUESDAY May 13th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1761 2nd St., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Louis J. Ciraldo, Sr. Endowed Scholarship in Electrical Engineering at The University of Akron, or the Dr. Anthony Retikas Scholarship Fund.
