Elmer J. DeWitt

Elmer J. DeWitt, age 100, of Munroe Falls, passed away peacefully Friday, June 13, 2025.

He was born in Grand Junction, MI on August 6, 1924. Elmer proudly served in the United States Navy in WWII from 1942-1945 and the Korean Conflict from 1950-1952. He loved his career as a Research Chemist. His company took out two patents on work Elmer did. He enjoyed gardening and fishing, especially during trips to Alaska. He enjoyed poetry and sharing it with those he loved.

Elmer is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and his beloved wife, Mary F. DeWitt.

He is survived by his children, Susan DeWitt, Stephen (Debbie Allen) DeWitt, John (Kathy) DeWitt, and Pamela DeWitt; many grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
