Erma E. Stich, 97, passed away October 9, 2009.
Erma retired as a primary school teacher from Sacred Heart School in Wadsworth.
Preceded in death by her husband, John R. Stich; father, Charles Brooks; mother, Ileen Brooks; sister, Mildred Rankin; brother-in-law, Harold Rankin; brothers, Nace and George Brooks; she is survived by son, C. Thomas Stich; daughters, Janet Stich and Margaret David Rohal; grandchildren, Christine and Jack Rohal; sister-in-law, Esther Brooks; nieces, Karen Morry Mandlebaum, Patricia Steven Anderson, Barbara Brooks; nephews, Stuart Kathy Brooks, Terry Brooks.
Special thanks to her friend and caregiver, Shannel Lee and Dr. Stephen Oyakawa and Therese.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 44 University Ave., Akron with Fr. Clyde Foster officiating. Burial at St. Benedict's Cemetery in Pennsylvania at a later date. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Simpson College, Office of College Advancement, 701 N. C Street, Indianola, Iowa 50125.
