Fred G. Pockrandt, 93, passed away June 13, 2011.
Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident. A U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, he was Vice President of Albrecht Grocery Co., Acme with 37 years service, retiring in 1983.
Preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mae; sister, Jane Arnold; grandson, Larry F. Heard II and son-in-law, Larry F. Heard; he is survived by son, Fred E. Margaret LeRoy Pockrandt; daughters, Marianne Heard, Nancy Dennis Tabita, Sister James Therese; grandchildren, Teri Ralbovsky, Mary Cox, Jennifer Martinez, Todd Tabita, Andrew, Matt, Sarah, Anna and Jim Pockrandt; great-grandchildren, Misty, Zac and Ashley Cox, PJ Ralbovsky, Eva Martinez; great-great-granddaughter, Vanessa Oxenford.
Private family services will be held. Friends may call WEDNESDAY 6 to 8 p.m. at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 15120 Collections Dr. 15120=Lbx# Chicago, IL 60693. Billow FALLS Chapel
