Gary Cooper, 57, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on May 9, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Canton, he lived most of his life in Akron. He was a tax attorney and the founder of Cooper and Pachell since 1982.
Preceded in death by his father, Walter Cooper; he is survived by daughters, Halley and Kara; mother, Mary Lou Wayne; brother, Mark Wayne; step mother, Mary Cooper; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron. Cremation to follow services. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may be made to the Stephen A. Comunale Jr. Family Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 13805, Akron, OH 44333.
