Gregory C. Aebischer, 78, of Stow, passed away August 16, 2026. Born September 26, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois. Gregory was the oldest son of Alyce and Albert Aebischer, Coast Guard Veterans of WWII. Early on, Greg served in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserves. After the military, Greg obtained his Geology Degree at the University of Akron and his certificate as a registered professional Geologist.

Prior to college, he worked at Ohio Bell. He then began his geology career in the Petroleum Industry in Ohio, supervising drilling operations. Later, he took a position in Houston, TX with Amin Oil and Philips Petroleum. After relocating to Ohio, he worked as a teacher in Cleveland Public Schools. Then after moving to Maryland, he worked in the Environmental Sector, while at the same time managing his own Environmental Company. After retiring, he moved back to Ohio.

Greg was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing at every opportunity. Always on the hunt for catching the big one. He will be remembered for his wit, humor, passion for reading and goodwill towards everyone around him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane Aebischer; his two sons, Bryan Aebischer and Matthew Aebischer; grandchildren, Morgan, Catherine, Gregory, Pearson, Mario and Milena; and two great grandchildren, Sophia and Michael.

Gregory was preceded in death by his younger brother, David Aebischer.

Calling hour will be held THURSDAY, August 20, 2026, from 1-2 PM at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.

Services in care of the Billow Funeral Homes and Crematory, Falls Memorial Chapel.
