On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, Hannah Lynne Doran (Maiden name - McClelland), of Canton, Georgia, passed away from dementia to be with her Heavenly Father. Hannah, the eldest daughter of Donald and Jane McClelland, was born in Akron Ohio. Hannah attended Buchtel High School in Akron Ohio, and, during her middle and high school years, was synchronized swimming and earned medals. Hannah’s family members will always remember and enjoy her Cotillion picture, where she was the epitome of the “glam girl.”
After high school, Hannah attended Kent State University, where she met David A. Hartman (deceased) from Case Western Reserve. David and Hannah married and brought three children into the world. Later in life, she pursed creative ambitions and graduated from Andrews University, with her degree in interior design.
There were five interests portrayed in Hannah’s life: Family, art and interior design, bridge, a good sense of humor and later, culinary pursuits. Hannah enjoyed being around her family and was always eager to learn about their lives and activities. As a matter of fact, it was quite common to congregate at her parent’s table and spend hours catching up with everyone in the family. Hannah cared deeply about her family and always desired the best for them. She had impeccable taste with art and décor, as well as the ability to turn any dwelling into a place of serenity and comfort, combined with a splash of elegance. Hannah was also a seasoned bridge player; a game her parents insisted all ladies must learn to play. Our family spent countless hours around her parent’s card table playing bridge and other card games – it was a hoot! Hannah was always game for people’s wit and funny movies. Later in life, her culinary pursuits changed based on her experiences at Courdon Blue in England. The meals she produced for her family were sensational!
The life of Hannah will be remembered and cherished by all her family members. She was preceded by her parents, Donald and Jane McClelland, and her sister Barbara “Bitsy” Kirk (McClelland). She is survived by survived by her sister, Donna Van der Aue (McClelland); her eldest son, Duane Hartman and wife Marie, grandson David Hartman; daughter, Diana Hartman; son, Douglas Hartman and his wife Julie Ann, grandchildren, Benjamin Hartman, Samuel and Marilyn Hartman, Alexander Hartman, and Thomas Hartman.
All living relatives wish my mother peace and harmony with her Creator.
