Helen Clark Balnave

Helen Balnave realized the full measure of her faith and began her eternal adventure on September 22 when she entered into the presence of her Lord. Hallelujah!

“Pinky” (the nickname given to her by her grandmother for her beautiful pink skin at birth) is the oldest of five. Out of necessity she was forced to grow up early and step in as her siblings’ caregiver at the age of 12 resulting in a lifelong bond with her brothers and sisters.

She met the love of her life at 22 and spent over 60 years as his helper and soulmate. God’s hand on their marriage led them to a personal relationship with Christ within weeks of each other, and that faith anchored their journey through the joys and tragedies of life. She lived the love of Jesus every day by studying His word and doing it to the best of her ability.

Second only to the love of Jesus was Helen’s love of family. She loved her 3 sons unconditionally and taught them what it meant to walk with the King and be a blessing. She was delighted to become a grandmother and loved being with her 7 grandchildren.

Helen also loved Lake Margrethe, where she summered for over 40 years. She was known to finish 18 holes by 9:30am and cherished the friendships established through her ladies’ leagues. Mom was excited to have made not one but two hole-in-ones over the years.

Her greatest desire would be for you to know Jesus and join her someday.

Friends may call MONDAY, September 29, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, OH 44333 where memorial service will take place TUESDAY, September 30, at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Helen’s name are suggested to HMC Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Rd, Medina, OH 44256.
