James Edmund Campbell

James (Jim) Edmund Campbell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend born in Warren, PA, passed away from natural causes on June 26, 2026, at the age of 77.

Jim was known for his sharp intellect and quick wit. He had a long successful career in Air Pollution Control where he was able to travel the world and build long lasting friendships. In his personal life, he also loved traveling with his family and enjoyed many summers at Cook Forest State Park. His greatest joy was his family, and he was very involved in all of his kids and grandkids’ lives. In addition to his family, his legacy will always be his endless dad jokes and large supply of funny shirts.

He is survived by his devoted wife Joyce Campbell of Copley, OH; his children, John (Trish) Campbell of Guyton, GA and Amy (Gene) Gentile of Richfield, OH; his cherished grandchildren Nicolas Crowley, Jason Campbell, Paige Gentile, Tyler Gentile, and Addison Campbell; his sister Lauri Miller of Schenectady, NY; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will always remember his stories and humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund Campbell and Grace Campbell, and his brother-in-law Mark Miller.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held at Billow Funeral Home at 85 N. Miller Rd, Fairlawn, OH 44333 on Thursday, July 2 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM with a service immediately following. Burial will be private.

Jim Campbell will be deeply missed, but his legacy of humor, love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
