James William Feldhouse, born May 14, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, at The Village of St. Edward, which had been his home for the past five years.

Jim was proud of his Cleveland roots and of the education that shaped his future. He earned his engineering degree from Fenn College in 1963 and later received his MBA from Case Western Reserve University.

Jim spent his life in the manufacturing industry. From his beginnings as an assembly line worker in a fender skirt factory, he rose to become Senior Vice President of divisions of Goodyear and The Wellman Group. He took pride in earning every opportunity through persistence, leadership, and integrity.

While at what is now Cleveland State University, Jim founded the Beta Upsilon Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma and served as its Founding President. His dedication to the fraternity extended far beyond his college years. He remained deeply devoted to Sigma Tau Gamma, mentoring young men, supporting the chapter he built, and taking great pride in its continued success. The brotherhood he helped establish became a lifelong bond, and the friendships formed there endured throughout his life.

One of Jim’s great personal accomplishments was rebuilding, using all original parts, his 1963 Ford Falcon convertible. He loved taking it to car shows and parades and especially driving it on a beautiful summer day. The car reflected his patience, pride, and appreciation for craftsmanship.

Jim always looked out for those less fortunate and spent his life giving back. He was deeply spiritual and looked forward to the many hours he spent at church events, volunteering, and donating to those in need. His faith was not simply something he believed — it was something he lived.

Jim was a die-hard Cleveland Indians (now Guardians) fan and held season tickets for many years. He was happiest when “his Indians” won — and he would never let you forget when “your Indians” lost. He passed along his love of the game to his children and grandchildren, teaching them the thrill of a close play, the tradition of singing during the seventh inning stretch, and the joy of eating a hot dog with stadium mustard (from an outside vendor).

His family will fondly remember how he loved Slyman’s corned beef sandwiches, duck lunches with his buddies, trips to State Road Meats, pool parties, and family gatherings at Hinckley Lake. He treasured fishing, trips to the beach and to Disney, listening to Pat Dailey at Put-in-Bay, and finding the perfect church for Sunday Mass at every vacation destination.

Jim was predeceased by the love of his life, Margie Feldhouse, his wife of 63 years, on February 5, 2026. He was also preceded in death by his father, Leonard Feldhouse; his mother, Mary Feldhouse; and his brother, Richard Feldhouse.

He is survived by his children, Jim Feldhouse (Randy), Lori Darst (Mike), and David Feldhouse (Krista); his grandchildren, Amy Darst, Erin Darst, Kai Feldhouse, Katie Feldhouse, and Wesley Feldhouse; his brother, Joseph Feldhouse; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Family and friends will be received at 10:00 a.m. at The Village of St. Edward Chapel, followed by a Catholic Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. A reception at The Village of St. Edward will follow the Mass.
