Jane E. Truax

Jane E. Truax, 81, of Southport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026.

Jane was born on April 6, 1944, to Leonard and Ann Dobbins. She was preceded in death by both her parents, her sister, Lucy Dobbins, her husband Walter Moore and previous beloved husband Greg Truax.

Jane is survived by her brother, Chuck Dobbins (Diane), and her sister, Carol Beatty, as well as several nieces and a nephew who will remember her with love.

Jane dedicated 38 years of service to the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio, where she built a long and respected career before retiring.

Never one to stay idle, she later pursued a second career as a realtor, where she enjoyed helping others find homes and new beginnings.

Jane will be remembered for her hardworking spirit, her independence, and the care she had for her family. She leaves behind many cherished memories with those who knew and loved her.

A private remembrance will be held by family at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
