Joanne G. Schneider, 85, passed away February 6, 2014.
Born in Akron, she lived most of her life in the Akron area. She graduated from West High School in 1946 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Akron. Joanne spent most of her life as a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker.
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Ronald. She is survived by sons, Mark, Bret (Lori) of Maryland; daughters, Gretchen Schneider of Akron, Marianne (Brian) Prather of Maryland; grandchildren, Rebecca Schneider, Amanda Lobato, Jake and Sarah Schneider, Melissa and Kevin Prather, George, Matthew and John Schneider; and brother, George Galehouse.
A private family service will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park with Dr. Donald M. Engle officiating. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
