John A. “Bert” Rauenhorst, age 87 years, passed away in his sleep Friday, July 24, 2026, at JAG Healthcare Burbank.

Bert was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota September 7, 1938, and was the son of the late Fred H. and Dora (Meslow) Rauenhorst.

Bert was very proud of his sobriety of more than 30 years. He was very active in Alcoholics Anonymous and supportive in the AA community.

In addition to his parents, Bert was preceded in death by his twin brother, James. He is survived by his wife, Dian Radtke; daughters: Kari (John) Spanarella and Rebecca Figueroa all of Tucson, Arizona; sons: James Moreno of Tucson and Alex (Sara) Moreno of Westlake, Ohio; step-children: Dawn Kekelis of Fairlawn, Tom Koontz of Massillon, Beth (Daniel) Chrome of Mesa, and Kimberly (Paul) McVicker of Chandler, Arizona; 29 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sr. Doris Rauenhorst, OP (Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa); and several nephews and nieces.
