John "Jack" L. Landis, Jr.

John “Jack” L. Landis Jr ., 92, of Fairlawn passed away on December 13, 2023. Jack was born in Akron, Ohio on March 16, 1931 to the late John and Verna Landis Sr.

He was a Captain in the US Air Force during Korea, a graduate of the University of Akron, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta, and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.

Preceded in death by his wife Ingeborg; sister Marilyn Taylor and son in law Brian Whitaker. He is survived by his daughters Annette (Paul) Pangle and Deborah Whitaker; grandchildren Kelly (Noelle) Pangle, Jackie Lalli, Meghan Pangle and Abby (Manny) Martes; great grandchildren Veda, Piper, Jack, Jane, Joseph and Ava.

A private family service has taken place.
