Jon Lyle McKinnon

Jon Lyle McKinnon, age 83, of Akron, passed away peacefully Monday, July 14, 2025.

He was born October 20, 1941, in Akron, son of the late Robert and Edith McKinnon. Jon graduated from Hower Vocational High School. He was a retired School Bus Driver for Akron Public Schools. He was a big fan of all things Civil War. Jon will be greatly missed.

Jon is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Arlene McKinnon (nee Smith); cherished sons, Stephen (Desiree) McKinnon, and Michael McKinnon; treasured brother, Fred (Linda) McKinnon; beloved nephews, Daniel McKinnon, Brent McKinnon, and Brian McKinnon.

Memorial service will take place WEDNESDAY, July 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Copley United Methodist Church, 1518 S. Cleveland Massillon Rd. Copley, OH 44321. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
