Lawrence J. "Larry" Anderson

Lawrence J. “Larry” Anderson went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2026.

Larry was born in Brook, Indiana on May 26, 1939, to parents Bernard L. and Clara M. (Honn) Anderson. He was a 1957 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. He attended the University of Akron and graduated in 1962 with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. While attending university, he was in ROTC. With his father and brothers, he also worked in the building industry during those years in Anderson Construction. After graduation, he served four years’ active duty in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966. After his military service, he worked as a Quality Control Engineer for several companies until his retirement. Then he worked part time for The Home Depot for 21 years.

Larry and his wife Ruth traveled extensively and visited 6 continents during those travels. He was active in his church (Cuyahoga Falls Baptist Church). He always enjoyed working with his hands and doing repairs around the home, as well as helping other family members with their home repairs. He enjoyed grocery shopping and cooking for his family. His greatest passion was his family and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.

Larry is survived by his wife of 66 years Ruth (Willett) Anderson; daughters Laurel (Anderson) Stimler, Donna Anderson, Sharon (Anderson) Ray and Jessica (Anderson) Maisano; 5 grandchildren Gregory, Joshua, Geoffrey, Jacob, and Allie; 4 great grandchildren; and his brother Robin L. Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Opal Nicholson, Bernard Anderson and Kenneth Anderson.

Memorial service to be held at Billow Funeral Home, 1907 23rd St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223 on September 29th, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. Family will receive friends at Billow Funeral Home on September 28th, 2026, from 5-7 P.M and an hour prior to the Memorial Service. Interment will occur at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273 at a later date.
