Margaret Marie Leidel Volkwine

Margaret Marie Leidel Volkwine, 87, passed away quietly on 10/22/09.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mathias Leidel and Eva Bauer Leidel; her husband, James Michael Volkwine; her brothers, William, Fritz, Robert; and sister, Eva. She is survived by her son, Michael Carl Volkwine 'Wally'; sister-in-law, Shirley; nieces and nephews; as well as a great-niece, Lauren Leidel.
She was born on February 16, 1922 in Akron, Ohio. She graduated from Buchtel High School. She had been employed as an elevator operator at O'Neil's downtown, and as a telephone company information operator. Her interests included golf, tennis, volunteering at the Weathervane Theater and E.J. Thomas, and being a bell-ringer for the Salvation Army. She also enjoyed painting as a hobby.
Services will be held 1 p.m. SATURDAY at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., with Pastor Keith Johnson officiating. Interment at Glendale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday one hour prior to the service. Billow FALLS Chapel
