Matthew S. Clark

Matthew S. Clark, beloved son, father, brother, and uncle, died on September 16, 2025. He was born October 25th, 1960 to parents William J. and Elsie M. Clark (nee Smith) in Washington D.C.

Matt spent his life deeply rooted in the community. He was a very proud graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School and started working immediately after graduation. He went on to continue his family’s legacy running Magic Oven Pizzeria with his siblings.

Most recently, he enjoyed retirement with his partner, Melinda Norman. Matt leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. Matt is preceded in death by his father, William J. Clark. He is survived by his devoted mother, Elsie M. Clark (nee Smith); and his three beloved children, William (Ashley) Clark, Cassandra Clark, and Kathleen (Julia) Clark. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Russell (Susan) Clark, Margaret (Robert) Gero, Mark (Sheila) Clark, Bridgett (Tony) Marchio, and Amy (Jeff) Givens. Matt also leaves behind so many wonderful nieces and nephews whom he cherished so much.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours 4-8 P.M. SUNDAY September 21st, 2025 at the Billow Falls Memorial Chapel, 1907 23rd St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 A.M. MONDAY September 22nd, 2025 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2580 Berne St. Akron, OH 44312, with Fr. Michael Williamson as celebrant. Interment at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Doylestown.
