Norinne Fenner Noble, 94, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025.
Norrine was born on February 5, 1931 in Iowa City, Iowa to Alfrieda and Clarence L. Fenner. She grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she was raised by her father and loving step-mother, Velma Fenner. A loyal Hawkeye fan, Norinne graduated from the University of Iowa before settling back in Iowa City, just a short walk from Kinnick Stadium, where she lived until her move to Akron, Ohio in 2014.
Norinne is survived by her son, Jeffrey S. Noble (Susan); daughter-in-law, Leslie Noble; grandchildren, Daniel D. Noble (Katie), Sarah Pickett (Ricky), Chad D. Noble (Caitlin), John R. Noble, Matthew B. Noble (Stephanie), and Nickolas D. Noble (Dani); great-grandchildren, Hattie Bea, Ricky, Harper, Cora, Madeleine, Emma, Blakely, Wyatt, Willa Suz, and William; cousin, Greg Schubert (Sonia); and nieces, Ann Tomlinson (Richard), Susan Conger-Austin (Jim), Janne Motter (Jon), and Nancy Ockene (Brad).
In addition to her parents, Norinne was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie N. Noble; and her son, David D. Noble.
A private family memorial service will be held in Norinne’s honor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SPOHNC (Support for People with Oral and Head and Neck Cancer) and The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
