Richard DeLoss Carothers

Richard DeLoss Carothers, age 90 years, stepped into the presence of God on January 25, 2026, with his wife of 68 years by his side.

Richard was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela in 2013. He leaves to celebrate his life and mourn his loss: his wife, Marylou (Beauty); his sons: Brent (Kim) and Darin (Sally); seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

Richard was a proud Air Force veteran and an active member of his church. He loved the Lord and faithfully served Him by teaching Bible studies in church and several area nursing homes. Richard was an avid outdoorsman and birdwatcher. His gift of storytelling, kindness, and honesty helped make him successful as an insurance salesman for the Perkins Insurance Agency for many years.

Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. However, we do “not grieve as grieve as others do who have no hope” (I Thessalonians 4:13b) because we know Richard is with the Lord.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
