Robert M. Holland, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, died August 25th, 2025. Born in Waltham, MA in 1938, a graduate of Roxbury Latin, Dartmouth College, Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Indiana University, he taught at The American School in Switzerland, Drexel University, and The University of Akron as Director of English Composition and Master of the University Honors Program. He volunteered at Habitat for Humanity and WEYE Reading Service. He was an instrument-rated pilot, a classical pianist, and a student of Chinese language and culture.
Survived by daughters Jessica Holland (Robert Geurden) of Waltham, MA, Libby Kozak (Steve) of N. Easton, MA; grandchildren Kathryn Kozak-Freeda (Dan), Gwendolyn Burke (Jo), and Margaret Lawson Kozak (Beck).
At his request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to International Rescue Committee, World Council Kitchen, Doctors Without Borders, or Save the Children.
