Shannon Lee Supplee (nee Sutton), age 59, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on March 13, 2026. Born on June 1, 1966, to John Sutton and Sharon Berg, she was a graduate of Ellet High School and the University of Akron, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Shannon had a 27-year career as a manager for Circle K (formerly Holland Oil), known for her deep dedication to her role and employees. Her warm smile and cheerful greeting every morning will leave a lasting impression on her adored regulars.
Shannon was well known for her tender heart, sense of humor, avidly watching golf, and being a diehard Cleveland Browns fan. She enjoyed playing cards with her beloved girlfriends, solving crossword puzzles and Sudoku, reading, and laying poolside or in her hammock. Above all, Shannon’s greatest passion was her family and friends. She cherished her children, and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first grandchild.
In addition to being a devoted mother and wife, Shannon was a proud and active member of the American Legion, spending many hours volunteering and giving back to her community. She was the sweetest, funniest, and happiest person, whose light touched everyone she met. Her laughter was contagious, and she spread love and kindness wherever she went.
Shannon is greeted in Heaven by her best friend, Terrie; father-in-law, Donald Supplee, and treasured aunts, uncles, and grandparents. She leaves behind her loving husband of 33 years, Michael Supplee; children, Hannah (Mario) Caprez and Christian (Kelsey, Baby Supplee); brother, Sean Sutton (Patrick, Jessica); sister, Adrienne Cromer (Dan, Avery); parents, John Sutton (Kathryn) and Sharon Berg (Larry Johnson); mother-in-law, Mary Supplee; and many loved ones. Shannon’s memory will live on through the love she gave, and the joy she shared. She will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Shannon will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a charity she passionately cared for, or the Wendell L. Wilkie American Legion Post 19 Women’s Auxiliary.
