Stefanie Jane Adams

Stefanie Jane Adams , born September 1, 1979, in Akron, Ohio passed away suddenly on May 10, 2023. Stefanie emulated joy. She was vibrant, thoughtful, and kind. Stefanie was hilarious, always keeping us laughing. Stefanie loved to plan gatherings and holiday events. She served as our family ‘glam squad’. Her passion was always to make everything and everyone pretty. She was a talented hairstylist, makeup artist & nail technician. Stefanie kept up with the latest trends and always dressed to impress. She loved to watch movies and TV. Her favorite show was the Golden Girls. She enjoyed reading gossip and fashion magazines. She was knowledgeable on all the latest celebrity news.

She loved animals, dogs especially touched her heart. If she could have rescued everyone, she would have. Stefanie had a heart of gold and always protected her family. She always stood up for those who could not stand up for themselves. She was a strong force and a wonderful friend.

Stefanie is preceded in death by her beloved dog Sofie, her grandparents Robert & Sue Strecker, grandmother Lorraine Swartz.

Stefanie is survived by her parents, Eulis V. Adams & Mary Deborah Adams; sisters Melissa Rizzi (Steve) and Amy Drabinski (Tim); her nephews Aleksander Rizzi (Kristin) and Nikolas Rizzi (Jordan); grandfather Melvin Swartz; her aunts Mary Rebecca Eldredge (Chester), Reva Hoke (Rodney) and numerous family members and friends.

It is impossible to capture someone in an obituary, especially a person whose adult life was largely defined by addiction. We were blessed to know the real Stefanie, whom we all loved and adored.  We are grateful that she is now at peace, but that in no way eases our pain. It only fuels the question of what could we have done differently? How could we have saved you? Was there one magic word that would have helped?  We just want you to know that we love you Stefanie and we would have done whatever we could to make you better. Words cannot express how sorry we are that we were not able to keep you here longer, to keep you safe and cure your addiction. It was just never our choice. We will remember you always as the funny, kind & loving spirit you were.

Rest in peace, sweet girl.

Her family will celebrate her life in a private service . Donations can be made in Stefanie’s name to Humane Society of Summit County ( www.summithumane.org ).
