Vera E. Hutchison

Vera E. Hutchison, 95, of Delaware, OH went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 26, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 17, 1931 in Portsmouth, OH to parents, Loren Turner and Mable Ray.

Vera was a very kind, caring Christian loving lady who raised four children and fostered 65 children. She would always find ways to make people smile and found the good in everyone. Vera loved her husband Elster of 54 years and spoke of him everyday to keep his legacy alive.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Mable; siblings, Clarence, Genevieve, Agnes, Ray, Kenneth, Ardena and Karl; children, Robert(Julie), Richard and Lorna.

Vera is survived by daughter, Patricia(Peter); son in law , Pete; granddaughters, Erin(Jason), Crystal(Christiopher), Debbie and Melanie; grandsons, Adam and Jeffrey; many more grandchildren, great grands, great great grands and many other family and friends.

Calling Hours will be held on FRIDAY, July 3 from 10AM-12 PM Noon at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Akron, OH 44333. Funeral Service will follow at Noon. Burial will be private at Rose Hill.
