William Spencer Campbell II, age 42, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, surrounded by love after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 23, 1983, in San Luis Obispo, California. He was preceded in death by his father John Campbell, and his mother and stepfather Patricia and Warren Rasmussen.

Will is survived by his wife, Victoria Campbell; his children, Kendra, Castor, Cali, and Korbin; his brother, John Campbell and wife Jenna; his sister, Lisa Featherstone and husband Dan; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Michael and Barbara; his sister-in-law, Jacqui; his nieces and nephews, Jake, Gabe, Draven, and Presley; his aunts and uncles, Judy, Roberta and George and Kevin and Anita; along with many extended family members, friends, and countless people whose lives were made brighter by knowing him.

From a young age, Will was always looking for his next adventure. He approached life with curiosity, humor, and a willingness to try just about anything.

A dedicated and skilled machinist, Will began sweeping floors at a machine shop at a young age and worked his way up through hard work, talent, and determination. Over the course of 22 years, he became an exceptional machinist who took pride in his craft.

Will spent part of his life living in Florida and loved the sunshine, warm weather, and trips to the beach. He was happiest when he could be outside enjoying a beautiful day.

Anyone who knew Will knew how much he loved his dogs. He loved spending time with them, playing with them, and curling up with them at the end of the day.

He was a lifelong fan of rock music, especially Metallica. There was a good chance that if Will was around Metallica was playing in the background.

One of his earliest passions was magic, a love he inherited from his father. Inspired by David Copperfield and later Criss Angel, he spent years learning tricks and illusions that amazed family and friends. One of his signature tricks was appearing to levitate, leaving everyone wondering how he did it. If you were lucky enough to see one of his performances, you might have witnessed some of his more unusual tricks—including his party trick of hammering nails into his nose, which somehow impressed people far more than it concerned them.

Will enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen once in a while. Friends and family often requested his famous "Sweet Willy's Chili" and Hollywood Squares dessert. He also inherited the Campbell family's sweet tooth and had a particular weakness for chocolate. His habit of sleep-eating became the source of many laughs over the years, as he would occasionally wake up to mysterious wrappers and evidence of late-night snack adventures he couldn't remember.

Will loved playing poker and was pretty good at it. One game, however, cost him his hair. After losing a bet that required him to shave his head, he realized he actually liked the look. What started as a lost wager ended up becoming his signature style for the rest of his life.

Halloween was serious business for Will long before he had kids of his own. Ever since he was young, he loved finding ways to scare people and get a laugh out of their reactions. He became known as "that house" on Halloween—the one neighborhood kids approached with equal parts excitement and caution. Despite being genuinely afraid of clowns for most of his life, he often dressed up as one himself.

More than anything, Will will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit, quick wit, and ability to make people laugh without even trying. His family and friends will miss him deeply but will forever cherish the stories, laughter, and love he leaves behind.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary hospice staff at Akron City Hospital. Their compassion, kindness, and care brought comfort not only to Will, but to everyone who loved him.

A life filled with adventure, laughter, love, and just enough mischief to keep things interesting is a life well lived. Will's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Details for a Celebration of Life honoring Will's memory will be shared soon.
